Simon Dewhurst BSc ACA

Based in Asia since 1994, Simon is a chartered accountant.  His career has spanned senior management roles in media, investment banking, hotel development and gaming.  Before co-founding Aylmer Capital, Simon was most recently EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Melco Crown Entertainment, a Macau based resort development group listed on NASDAQ.  Simon has been recognised by FinanceAsia and IFRAsia for landmark debt and equity based financing transactions.  Simon heads our capital investment team and is currently engaged as Managing Director of Aylmer Aaharn.  Simon is a director on the board of all our investee companies. simon@aylmerpartners.com

Dennis Turner

Dennis is Australian and currently based in Seoul.  Dennis is an entrepreneur and founded one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial safety wear in China nearly twenty years ago.  Dennis has been a pioneer in the development of China’s FF&E design, manufacture and installation industry for the global hotel industry, meeting world-class standards at competitive price levels. Dennis is Managing Director of Aylmer Partners, our hotel consulting division delivering various services to a global footprint of hotel clients, including FF&E provision through partner company Winmost.  dennis@aylmerpartners.com

David Thompson

David is the Australian-born chef of nahm in Bangkok. David is also an author and widely acknowledged authority on Thai cooking. His internationally acclaimed cookbooks include Thai Food and Thai Street Food. David first lived Thailand in the late eighties before returning to Sydney where he opened Darley Street Thai in 1991, voted ‘Best Thai Restaurant’ by the Sydney Morning Herald eight years in a row. David followed this up in 1995 with Sailors’ Thai. Next came nahm London, where David secured the first-ever Michelin star for Thai cuisine in 2002. Two years later, he moved back to Bangkok and opened nahm. In 2012 and 2013, nahm was recognised among the ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ by the UK industry publication, Restaurant magazine.
